Introduction

The purpose of the consultation process is to inform the development of a whole-of- Government strategy for babies, young children and their families. This Strategy, which is one of three constituent strategies under Better Outcomes, Brighter Futures, will focus on five outcomes for children. These are the children will be:

  1. Active and healthy, have physical and mental wellbeing
  2. Achieving full potential in learning and development
  3. Safe and protected from harm
  4. In a position of economic security and opportunity
  5. Connected, respected and contributing to their world

The questions posed/information sought as part of the consultation process needed to mirror the questions posed and information sought from primary school children as part of the consultation process for Better Outcomes, Brighter Futures.
